The Pros and Cons Of Having a Sunroof..

A Sunroof is a window on a car of the roof, it is a glass panel that can tilt up and even slides under the roof.

Types of Sunroof.

1. Tilt-up Sunroof

This type of Sunroof has a roof window that is hinged in the front so that it opened and shuts in the rear It only tilts and the opening is small.  If you want fresh air and to feel the sunshine,  but not too much then tilt up the Sunroof is best for you.

2. Sliding Sunroof

This is a roof window that slides back and forth to open and shut. The window is either on the roof or between the ceiling and the roof. This is the most common type of Sunroof.

3 . Moonroof

The moonroof is a glass slab that doesn't open or tilt-up is just for the natural sunlight and to view night light,  a Moonroof covers the whole roof of the cars, it also gives up the convertible car feeling.

4. Panoramic Window Sunroof

This is a large glass or synthetic resin window panels, which is embedded in the car roof, The Panorama window is to enjoy the view and it is a large glass window that slides down to the other glass panel,  it provides ventilation through the roof, the large window provides the best sense of Openness.

Pros and Cons Regarding Sunroof...

What's Good about Sunroofs?

Openness-

A Sunroof gives a sense of open-air and freedom.  The Openness of Sunroof cannot be compared with a car with a completely enclosed place

Less Noise -

Research shows that the noise from the Sunroof is quite rare than that from side windows. This means having fresh air in the car doesn't have to disturb the conversation.

Ventilation-

Ventilation in the car by opening Sunroof as well as the Night View in the long Drive also the feel of natural sunlight you can get, Ventilation from Sunroof is far more efficient than opening the side windows.

Added Value -

A Sunroof usually increases the car value when you trade a car

Decreasing the car temperature and removing the Heat from the car -

If your car is placed at the lot where the sunlight is quite adequate which heats the interior of the car, Opening the Sunroof helps to lower down the temperature and to remove the warm air from the car.

Cons Of Sunroof.

Low Ceiling.

A Sunroof where the window panel is installed between the roof and ceiling structurally lowers the Ceiling. This means the space between your head and Ceiling is pushed down.

Effect of Outside Temperature.

The material used for Sunroof is usually glass or clear synthetic resin and their performance insulating from the outside temperature is poorer than the normal car roof. Even the sliding shade under the Sunroof will let through the outside temperature and you may feel warmer in summer and colder in winter as compared to a normal Sunroof.

Low Structural Strength

The Sunroof usually lowers the strength of the car, hence the safety measures of the cars are lower down, Brands are trying to overwhelm this problem by strengthening the pillars of the car.

Risk Of Leaky Roof.

There is a possibility of rain leaking through rubber sealant between the window panels, that's the basic reason that Sunroof is to be properly cleaned and maintained well.

Verdict-

A Sunroof is a very useful feature in the car, it can be used for the ventilation and the fresh air movement in the car, You should never pop-up your head outside the Sunroof,  it can lead to your safety and even overall stability of the car If Sunroof is maintained properly,  cleaned properly and used daily then there is very often leakage problem occur or not occur. You should buy a Sunroof Car if you are having an adequate Budget...
